St. Joseph man seriously injured in one-vehicle crash

A St. Joseph man was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash early Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, around 12:30 a.m. Monday, 30-year-old Risbel Dominguez-Picallo of St. Joseph was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot north on I-29 when the vehicle went off the road around mile marker 35.6. The vehicle hit a guardrail and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Rafeeq B. Siddeeq of St. Joseph was transported by Buchanan County EMS to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of serious injuries. The driver was not injured.

According to the crash report, both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
