ST. JOSEPH – Always supporting the St. Joseph community, the Missouri Western soccer team will accept donations for two different organizations during its home game on Friday, Sept. 20. The team has partnered with the Sports Bra Project and the St. Joseph YWCA to accept needed items for girls and women.

Donations will be accepted at Spratt Stadium prior and during the 8 p.m. game against Missouri Southern. With a donation, fans will receive one free ticket to the game as well as a raffle ticket for Griffon Soccer gear. An additional donation will receive an extra raffle ticket.

SPORTS BRA PROJECT

The Sports Bra Project collects new, with tags, sports bras to distribute to girls and women who do not have access to their own. A sports bra may be an item easily taken for granted, but it is something many women and girls cannot afford to be able to participate in sports.

ST. JOSEPH YWCA

The local St. Joseph YWCA is always in need of basic items that are often overlooked when donations are made for the shelter. Items needed include:

  • Soap, Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Feminine Products
  • Underwear, T-Shirts & Socks
  • Brushes & Combs
  • Night Lights
  • Lotion & Deodorant
  • Baby Wipes & Diapers
  • Toilet Paper
  • Sleeping Bags
  • Dish Soap
  • Razors & Tooth Brushes
  • Blankets & Pillows
  • Liquid Laundry Detergent
  • Laundry Baskets
  • Date Books/Calendars
