A junior at Central High School has scored a
perfect 36 on the ACT.

The St. Joseph School District has announced
James Jura earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36.

Federal statistics indicate fewer than half of
1% of students who take the ACT score perfect on the college entrance exam test.
Last year, fewer than 5,000 of the 1.8 million students who took the ACT scored
a perfect 36.

The ACT tests students in English, mathematics,
reading, and science. The composite score is the average of the four test
scores.

Jura is involved in many activities at
Central, including soccer, basketball, and track. He is also a Central
Ambassador, a member of the American Chemical Society, and volunteers at the
Samaritan Center.
