Boehringer Ingelheim Partners with NCB

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica are partnering together on the Beef Quality Assurance program - as the company will sponsor the cost of BQA certification for American cattlemen and cattlewomen this spring.

While BQA certification is normally between 25 and 50-dollars - Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica is going to eliminate the certification cost for producers between February 11th and March 15th. BQA Senior Director Ryan Ruppert says the program provides cattlemen with the tools they need to produce the safest, highest quality beef in the world while looking at ways to make their operations more efficient and productive. Ruppert calls BQA the gold standard of livestock handling and animal welfare programs - and Boehringer Ingelheim’s support of the certification demonstrates not only the company’s commitment to improving the livestock industry -
but also tells consumers about the sound production practices most cattlemen use every day.

BIVI Director of Cattle Marketing David Korbelik says the company is proud to partner with BQA to make the program more accessible to producers. Korbelik says the program is much like BIVI’s Prevention Works approach to animal health. He says it’s clear BIVI is committed to helping consumers understand beef is produced in a safe, humane manner - and this partnership will help producers learn the latest industry advancements and demonstrate how they continue to provide a top-quality food product
