RALEIGH, N.C. – MANA will host its Herbicide Expo plot tour August 6, 2013, beginning at 9 a.m., at the University of Missouri Bradford Research and Extension Center, located at 4968 Rangeline Road, Columbia, Mo. 65201.
MANA products will be showcased which all tout resistance management attributes for improved weed control with emphasis on glyphosate-, HPPD-, triazine- and ALS-resistant species.
The University of Missouri field demonstration will show a variety of weed control experiments via the company’s new soybean herbicide lineup. University of Missouri plant science experts will be in attendance to present insights on the various field trials.
Additional topics covered by industry experts include herbicide resistance management strategies and protocols for Missouri soybeans, advanced management techniques for Palmer amaranth and other tough-to-manage weed species, and innovations in herbicide modes of action for varying degrees of weed resistance.
The August 6 event is an “open invitation” for growers, retailers and crop consultants. Continuing education units (CEUs) will be approved for attending Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) and Certified Professional Agronomists (CPAg).
A post-tour luncheon will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. at the same location.
As part of the Herbicide Expo agenda, MANA will host a “Skeet Shoot” activity August 5 at River Hills Sporting Clays, located at 22701 Rocheport Road, Booneville, Mo. 65233.
Participants are to meet at 4 p.m. in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn, 330 Vandiver Drive, Columbia, Mo. 65202. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the shooting range. A cook out-style dinner will immediately follow the activity.
Registration for attendance at the Herbicide Expo tour (August 6) and Skeet Shoot (August 5) is required. Early registration will qualify attendees for a chance to win a Beretta® A400 Xplor shotgun, a YETI® Cooler, an Apple® iPad®, and other items.
