(NAFB)--Through its Pioneer Field360 services - DuPont Pioneer has two field-analysis tools available to help growers conduct deep dives on yield results - according to DuPont Pioneer Services Application Manager Nathan Paul. One tool is the treatment-analysis tool - which connects yield results to soil, as-planted and fertility maps. The tool provides a report card on hybrid performance by unique environment - which then allows growers to focus on hybrid selections for the coming year. Paul says the analysis can clearly tell the story of why one hybrid performed better in one area of the field versus another. The second tool is the post-harvest calibration tool - which uses a grower’s scale tickets to confirm yield information and develop a better, overall picture of product performance. Paul says growers need to calibrate yield monitors frequently to collect accurate yield results - and this tool ensures growers record actual yields instead of fully depending on a combine yield monitor that could be inaccurate.
