Ground Beef Recall

(NAFB)--Nearly 1.8-million pounds of ground beef products produced by Wolverine Packing in Michigan between March 31st and April 18th are being recalled due to possible E. coli contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced this recall yesterday (Monday) - and says products under the recall will have the establishment number EST. 2574B and a production date code between 03-31-14 and 04-18-14. FSIS is working with public health partners from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has determined a link between these products and 11 case-patients in four states. FSIS will continue to work with state and federal partners on its investigation and provide additional information as it becomes available.
