(NAFB)--Earlier this month at the World Pork Expo - the National Pork Board elected Karen Richter of Montgomery, Minnesota as its new President.
As a producer and board member - Richter says she is constantly working to make the industry better for future generations. She says there’s never a short list of challenges in the livestock industry - but producers continue to evolve their programs so pork products and pork operations improve to meet consumer and producer needs. Bronson, Michigan producer Dale Norton was elected the new Vice President. Looking ahead to this year - Norton says the pork industry has versatile, nutritious products that offer great value to consumers. He says it’s important producers continue to build trust and share their commitment with customers and consumers. The new Treasurer is Derrick Sleezer - Cherokee, Iowa pork producer.
