(NAFB)--During the first week of June - leaders of American Agri-Women from across the country will be in the nation’s capital for the organization’s annual Washington D.C. Fly-In.

The 20th Annual Symposium will take place at the National Press Club the morning of Monday June 3rd.

The panel will discuss the agriculture connection to immigration reform and health care reform. Then - during the week - the group will meet with USDA officials, officials from other agencies and Members of Congress. The annual Congressional Reception takes place the evening of Tuesday, June 4th. The group will work on key issues like ag labor, the Endangered Species Act and the farm bill. AAW President Karen Yost says it’s AAW’s mission and duty to represent and protect those who produce food, feed, fiber and fuel for the world. She says the group’s meetings are an important way to educate legislators and policymakers. The AAW Washington, D.C. Fly-In runs June 2nd through the 5th.
