(KFEQ)--Rainfall totals for northwest Missouri, show 4- 10 inches of rain in the last week.
In the seven day period ending at 10am this morning, St Joseph shows as receiving 5-6 inches of rain in.
Most of Northwest Missouri received 4-5 inches of rain in the last seven days. Some area's, including around Marysville in Northeastern Kansas received 8-10 inches, according to data from the national weather service.
This springs rains have eliminated the recent drought for our part of the midwest and is the cause for flash flooding. The Missouri river is expected to crest at 22.5 feet today in St Joseph, 23.4 at Rulo and five feet above flood stage in Columbia. Flood warning remain in effect for virtually all area rivers but the forecast does call for sunshine this weekend.
