Syngenta Prepping New SCN Seed Treatment

(NAFB)--Each year - approximately 1.5-billion dollars of losses can be attributed to soybean cyst nematode infestations - which can increase the risk for soybean diseases including sudden death syndrome, brown stem rot and phytophthora root rot.

Syngenta is introducing a new fungicide to offer effective SCN protection - which will be available to Midwestern growers next year.

Clariva Complete Beans is an on-seed application of separately registered products adding a new nematicide to CruiserMaxx Beans with Vibrance insecticide-fungicide. The treatment combination protects against a range of early-season insects and diseases while also offering season-long activity against SCN. Syngenta Soybean Product Lead Wouter Berkhout says Clariva Complete Beans offers triple pest protection and provides soybeans with the opportunity to start the season strong to recognize their full yield potential. Berkhout says it also optimizes root health to deliver better plant emergence and stand, nutrient uptake and water usage, stress tolerance and overall soybean performance.
