SW Mo. Man Faces Charges For Farm, Cattle Thefts

(AP) - Authorities say a 67-year-old man jailed on $1 million bond is a suspect in the thefts of farm equipment and cattle in several southwest Missouri counties.

Authorities arrested the Monett man Thursday after a daylong search in Greene County by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and county officials.

The patrol says his arrest came after an investigation by its Division of Drug and Crime Control, and the Barry and Greene County sheriff's offices.

The patrol says in a news release that law enforcement in Christian, Dade, Jasper, Lawrence and Webster counties also helped in the investigation. Items valued at more than $100,000 were recovered.
