(NAFB)--The National Pork Producers Council says Mercy for Animals has released a questionable undercover video from a Minnesota farm. With this latest attack against America’s hog farmers - NPPC says it’s important to know the facts. The group notes an independent veterinarian determined there were no signs of inhumane treatment or violations of good production standards and no charges were filed. But the facility shown in the video went even further - brining in a third party to investigate. While the undercover video was never actually made available to the farm - their own investigation determined the employee involved had not been following animal care protocols. That employee was immediately fired. NPPC says America’s pork producers are primarily family farmers who care about the animals they raise and the food they produce for the American consumer - and ultimately their own families.
