(MOFB)-- The inaugural Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture’s Ag Tractor Cruise will take place July 12 at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds in Maysville, Missouri. Check-in time for this scenic 40-mile journey through DeKalb and Gentry counties is 8 a.m. The tractor cruise will start at 10 a.m. The tractor cruise, featuring vintage tractors circa 1972 and older — John Deere, Case, International and more — will take place rain or shine.
“This will be a fun event and a great way to raise funds for a worthy cause,” said Vernon Hart, MFB State Board member from Buchanan County. “The Foundation provides funds for a variety of agriculture education and leadership programs, including Agriculture in the Classroom mini-grants, Collegiate Farm Bureau, scholarships and leadership training.”
Pre-registration for the 2014 Ag Tractor Cruise is now open and runs through July 10, 2014. Entry fees are $30 through July 10 and $40 the day of the event. Entry fee includes a Farm Bureau gift, an event photo and snacks. Lunch will be available for a $5 donation.
Event sponsorship opportunities are available, as well. Gold ($500), silver ($250) and bronze ($100) level sponsors will be promoted at the event on signage and banners, in event goodie bags and more.
Proceeds from the 2014 Ag Tractor Cruise will benefit the Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. The Foundation provides resources to programs that promote agriculture in an effort to ensure a bright future for the industry.
