Our Station

KFEQ was founded by John L. Scroggin and Scroggin & Co. Bank and first broadcast in 1923 from Oak, Nebraska. He moved the station to St. Joseph in 1925 where it was noted for its live remote daily broadcasts three times each day from the St. Joseph Stockyards and four times each day from the St. Joseph Grain Exchange.

Since its beginning, KFEQ has always been known for the timely reporting of markets, weather and news. That tradition continues today with market updates throughout the day, news every hour from our local and national news teams, plus weather information when you need it most.
