Man from St. Joseph injured after motorcycle, pickup crash

BUCHANAN COUNTY —A man from St. Joseph was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Wednesday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1982 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Jeremy R. Thompson, 53, St. Joseph, was eastbound on U.S. 59 in Winthrop.

The motorcycle crossed the center line, began to skid and traveled into the path of a westbound 2019 Ford F350 driven by Bodie L. Vandeloo, 22, Lancaster. Thompson was ejected from the motorcycle.

Buchanan County EMS transported Thompson to Mosaic Life Care. Vandeloo was not injured. Thompson was wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
