Kansas felon accused of new crimes after arrest

ATCHISON COUNTY —A Kansas felon is back in jail on new allegations after a weekend arrest.

On April 14, police arrested 52-year-old Jason E. Alexander of Atchison on requested charges for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery in the 1900 block Harper Drive, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. He was also arrested on a District Court warrants for failure to appear in court.

In July of 2022, Alexander was arrested for alleged domestic battery, burglary, theft and criminal damage to property in Atchison, according to online jail records. He has previous convictions for theft, aggravated and multiple DUIs, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
