HOLT COUNTY —A St. Joseph woman was injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Wednesday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 GMC FedEx Truck driven by Luz M. Silva, 29, St. Joseph, was northbound on Maywood Road at MO 111 one and one half miles north of Forest City.
The vehicle crossed the center of the road into the path of a southbound 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Ethan W. Woolsey, 33, Forest City.
The pickup attempted to avoid a collision. It traveled off the north side of Maywood Road. The front of the FedEx Truck struck the left front of hte pickup and then struck the towed unit of the pickup.
Atchison-Holt ambulance transported Silva to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Woolsey was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
