The Benton High School football program is looking for a new head coach after Corey Bertini announced he will step down.
Bertini announced he was stepping down as the head football coach this week and said it wasn’t an easy decision to leave the program. Bertini took over the program in 2023 after serving as an assistant coach on the southside. The Cardinals went 4-16 in his two seasons as the head coach.
He played college football at Missouri Western. Bertini stepped down to take a job in the Kansas City area.
