CALDWELL COUNTY—A teen driver was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Wednesday in Caldwell County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Ford Focus driven by a 19-year-old Cameron woman was eastbound on Route BB at Tri-County line Road one mile east of Cameron. The Ford and a westbound 2018 Lincoln MKX driven by a 55-year-old Cameron woman were negotiating a curve in the road.
The 19-year-old driver dropped a mobile device causing the Ford to cross the center line and strike the Lincoln head-on.
The 19-year-old driver was transported to an area hospital. The other driver was not injured. Both were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
