2 Mo. teens hospitalized after Jeep strikes animal, rolls

CLINTON COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 10a.m. Saturday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Jeep Gladiator driven by a 17-year-old Hamilton boy was northbound on U.S. 69 seven miles south of Cameron. The jeep struck an animal in the road.  After impact, the Jeep crossed  the center line and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off the east side of the road and rolled.

Cameron EMS transported the driver and a 19-year-old male passenger to Liberty Hospital. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
