St. Joseph police have released the identity of the man who jumped from the Riverside Road bridge onto Highway 36 last Sunday night.
The St. Joseph Police Department reports 51-year-old Jerry Ritter was pronounced death at the scene.
In an earlier report, St. Joseph police stated the man jumped from the bridge at approximately 9:45pm Sunday, June 1st. Police report Missouri Department of Transportation employees were working on the bridge at the time.
According to police, the Medical Examiners’ Office is awaiting autopsy results on this case.
