CALDWELL COUNTY—A Missouri man died in an accident just before 3p.m. Friday in Caldwell County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Mazda CX5 driven by a 15-year-old Hamilton girl was eastbound in the westbound lanes of U.S. 36 four miles west of the Hamilton City Reservoir. The Mazda struck a westbound 2010 Ford Escape driven by 41-year-old Breckenridge man head-on.
The Ford driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen driver was air-lifted to Children’s Mercy. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
