Due to inclement weather expected in the area, the St. Joseph Mustangs announced their matchup with the Nevada Griffons scheduled for tonight has been postponed.
Most recently, the Mustangs wrapped up a four game home stand, winning 11-10 on Saturday at Phil Welch Stadium over the Sedalia Bombers. The Mustangs scored a massive comeback in the victory, after entering the bottom of the eighth inning trailing the Bombers 10-2.
The Mustangs scored seven runs in the seventh inning, with RBIs from Jack Mosh, Dom Felix, Justin George, Lafayette alum Jayden Little, and Benton alum Chris Coy. Felix tied the game up in the ninth on a groundout, driving in Tyler Gundelfinger, and in the 10th inning Easton Phillipe had a pinch hit walk off RBI double for the win.
The Mustangs are off on Monday. They are back in action on Tuesday on the road at the Chillicothe Mudcats. After an off day on Wednesday they will be back in St. Joseph for three days of fireworks extravaganza’s starting on Thursday at Phil Welch Stadium against the Mudcats as well.
