Mo. man accused of DWI after crash on closed road

HOLT COUNTY —A Missouri was injured and arrested after an accident that occurred just after 3a.m. Friday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1992 Ford Ranger driven by 21-year-old Carter J. Holecek of Mound City was southbound on U.S. 59 at Adobe Road three miles north of Craig. The driver failed to yield to a road closure and the pickup struck a bridge under construction.

Atchison-Holt Ambulance transported the Holeck to Mosaic Life Care. He was arresed on requested charges of DWI, failure to maintain right half of the road, driving on a closed road, failure to display valid plates and for no seat belt.
