Mo. man hospitalized after Jeep strikes embankment, overtuerns

ANDREW COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before noon Saturday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 29-year-old Savannah man was southbound on Route D one mile north of Avenue City. The Jeep traveled off the west side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle returned to the road, crossed the center of the road, traveled off the east side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

A private vehicle transported the driver to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releaes names of accident victims.
