HOLT COUNTY —A Kansas man died in an accident just after 3p.. Monday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by a 59-year-old Atchison, Kansas man was northbound on Interstate 29 ten miles north of Oregon, Missouri. The SUV traveled off the west side of the road, struck an embankment, went airborne, rolled onto its roof and the driver was ejected.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
