Purina has celebrated 40 years in St. Joseph.
Purina opened its St. Joseph factory in 1985. The company held a celebration in Hyde Park with family activities, local food vendors, and live music. The celebration highlighted 11 workers who have been with the company since the factory opened.
“We take immense pride in our factory’s role within the community and in our associates’ dedication to delivering high-quality pet food and care products,” Angela Broadrick, factory manager, stated. “This anniversary is a testament to our team’s commitment and the lasting impact we’ve made in St. Joseph.”
The Purina St. Joseph factory employs more than 300 people. It continues to grow and has a variety of hourly and salaried positions currently available.
Nestlé Purina PetCare was founded in 1894 and makes pet food such as Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Tidy Cats. The company employs 11,000 workers in the United States.
