Five people were arrested in Faucett on Tuesday by the Buchanan County Special Operation Division in connection with crimes across the Midwest.
Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett reports that on Tuesday, the Northwest Missouri Drug Task Force, comprised of the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office Career Criminal Unit, St. Joseph Police Department, and Missouri Highway Patrol located three vehicles in Faucett at the Pilot gas station connected to crimes in several states across the Midwest.
Officers took four males and one female into custody and seized the three vehicles at the scene. All five suspects were found to be citizens of Venezuela and due to the significance of the alleged crimes ICE was notified.
All five suspects were taken to the Buchanan County jail for further investigation before being transferred into ICE custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
