A 55-year-old Gallatin woman, reported missing for days, has been found dead in the Grand River.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports a water rescue operation recovered the body of Julie Vyrostek from the Grand River early Monday afternoon.
The office says the family reported Vyrostek missing on November 26th and expressed concern about her well-being. A search began. It included a Facebook post requesting help from the public. Her vehicle was found on a field access road outside of Gallatin, near the Grand River.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Department of Conservation joined the search, which included searching the river and the land around the river.
The investigation continues.
