With the closure of the Gene Field Road Bridge, and a scheduled project next year, the Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing

District engineer Austin Hibler says the hearing will be held on December 17th at the northwest district offices

“If individuals have questions or comments, or would like more information about the project, there’s an opportunity there to attend that meeting and hear more about it,” Hibler tells KFEQ/St. Joseph Post

Hibler says during the meeting MoDOT officials will present their plan to the public for the Gene Field bridge project

“Our general timeline at that point, and then we would be looking for any kind of feedback for impacts or questions or concerns,” Hibler explains.

Attendees are welcome to come any time between 4 to 6pm. to speak with project leaders. There will be no formal presentation.

The bridge project is slated to begin next spring, with MoDOT hopeful construction can begin in the summer.
