Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has undergone shoulder surgery after battling injuries throughout his second season with the team.

Worthy tore his labrum in the opening game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers and also dealt with an ankle injury. Worthy was dealing with a shoulder injury as late as Week 8 of the 2025 season and then a week 13 injury report indicated issues with his ankle.  Despite the injuries Worthy was never placed on injured reserve and finished out the season.

Worthy finished the season with 42 catches, 532 yards, and one touchdown, missing three games due to injury.  In a social media post, he expressed his determination for the next season on social media after saying the surgery performed on his shoulder was successful.
