NODAWAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30a.m. Saturday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Silverado driven by a 22-year-old Gretna, Nebraska man was westbound on U.S. 136 at Smith Street in Burlington Junction. The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The pickup traveled off the north side of the road into a yard and struck a tree, continued through the yard and struck a house. The vehicle came to rest partially in the house.
Nodaway County EMS transported the driver to Clarinda Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
