After an undefeated week that included road wins over Peru State and a win at home against Central Methodist, Benedictine’s Brycen LaRue was honored by the Heart of America Conference. 

LaRue was named the Heart Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.  In two games, LaRue averaged 26.5 points per game while shooting 67.9% from the floor and a whopping 50% from beyond the three point arc.  He was also a perfect 10 of 10 at the free throw line. In the 86-70 win over Central Methodist, he paced the Ravens with a career high 32 points.

In 21 games this season, LaRue is averaging 13.7 points per game with 38 three pointers while shooting 38.4% from beyond the arc. LaRue has caught fire since the start of the new year, he is averaging 18 points per game and is the Ravens top scorer. He is shooting 55.2% from the floor with 20 three pointers, shooting 48.8%. while going a blazing 90.3% from the free throw line.

Benedictine remains at home on Wednesday, hosting Culver-Stockton College at 7:30 p.m.
