The Kansas Department of Transportation has approved a bid for a bridge repair project in Doniphan County. PCI Roads, based in St. Michael, Minnesota, was awarded the $737,864 contract for repairs to a bridge on K-20 over the North Branch of Independence Creek. The project is located about seven miles northeast of the Brown County line. Bids for the project were opened on February 18 in Topeka, and a construction start date has not yet been announced.
