The Kansas Department of Revenue’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (ABC) conducted an enforcement operation targeting the unlawful sale of alcoholic products disguised as kratom extract “shots” in retail stores across the state. The investigation revealed that O.P.M.S. Kratom Extract liquid products contained alcohol and were being sold without proper licensing. The products were found in multiple Kansas retail locations, primarily in vape shops and similar businesses lacking the required alcoholic beverage licenses. A total of 1,006 bottles of the illegal alcoholic products were seized, and criminal charges will be submitted for review and prosecution. ABC urges consumers to report suspected violations to protect Kansas communities from unsafe or unlawfully sold products.
