Could Smoking Be Banned In Kansas Casinos?

Kansas lawmakers are considering a bill that would ban smoking on casino gaming floors and expand the definition of smoking to include electronic cigarettes and marijuana. House Bill 2252 aims to amend the Kansas Indoor Clean Air Act to prohibit smoking in areas currently exempted, such as lottery gaming facilities and racetracks. The proposal would also extend restrictions to electronic cigarettes and marijuana, aligning them with traditional tobacco products. The bill was requested by lawmakers to address concerns about casino workers’ health and exposure to secondhand smoke in the state’s 10 casinos.
