The City of St. Joseph opened a century-old time capsule at City Hall, revealing newspapers, city addresses, a telephone directory, and more. The event included a formal cornerstone rededication ceremony led by the Grand Lodge of Missouri. St. Joseph Mayor John Josendale expressed excitement at discovering historical items left by the mayor in 1926 and plans to create a new time capsule to reflect the city’s current identity. The items from the time capsule will be displayed at the St. Joseph Museum.
