Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett announced that Buchanan County has received the Blue Shield designation for 2026 from the Missouri Department of Public Safety. The designation, created in 2025 by Gov. Mike Kehoe, recognizes communities that enhance public safety, support law enforcement, and build partnerships with the community. This is the second year Buchanan County has received the honor.
