Kansas couple dead after motorcycle, pickup crash

BROWN COUNTY—Two people died in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Brown County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by David A. Koch, 63, Sabetha, was traveling on U.S. 36 one half mile east of Goldfinch Road. The motorcycle crossed the center line and struck a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by Timothy J. Rottinghaus, 61, Baileyville.

Koch and a passenger Odetta L. Koch, 62, Sabetha, were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Popkess Funeral Home.

 Rottinghaus and a passenger in the pickup were properly restrained not injured. The KHP released no additional details.
