A former pitcher with the Mid-Buchanan Dragons, who also spent some time pitching in the summer for the St. Joseph Mustangs, is going pro after Denton Biller was selected with pick 484 in the 16th round to the Baltimore Orioles.

Biller pitched this past season at Johnson County Community College as a redshirt freshman, starting 15 games and going 10-0 with one complete game, striking out 69 batters and posting a 4.20 ERA.  With the Mustangs last season, Biller earned All MINK league first team honors.

Biller could join the Orioles organization, or he could opt to stay in college and go to an SEC powerhouse.  Last September, Biller committed to Arkansas, a team that was one game shy of making it to the 2025 College World Series championship game.  Arkansas had 11 players selected in this year’s MLB draft.
