St. Joseph City Hall has a festive look.
The city has adorned City Hall with green and red lighting to celebrate the Christmas season. The new look actually debuted in conjunction with the opening of the Holiday Park and South Pole displays at Krug and Hyde Parks.
Fourteen LED fixtures have been added to City Hall, five each on the north and south sides of the building and two each on the east and west sides. The new lighting can be used for a variety of special events and commemorations.
The lighting project is part of the improvements being made to St. Joseph City Hall as it moves closer to its centennial celebration in 2027. Sidewalks have been replaced, new period lighting has been installed along the balustrade facing Civic Center Park, the fountain on the north side of the building is being regraded and rebuilt, hallways are being repainted, and elevators are being upgraded, among other improvements.
