ATCHISON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Thursday in Atchison County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford F150 driven by Dustin B. Saunders, 32, Troy, was northbound on Kansas 7 Highway just north of 318th. The pickup traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a tree. After impact, the pickup spun around and came to a rest in the East ditch of the highway.
Saunders was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
