The Burlington Junction Board of Aldermen approved the distribution of last year’s tax revenues, totaling $119,747.02, into various city accounts. City Administrator Jo Anna Marriott explained that the funds came from county real estate and personal property taxes, with $165.99 going into the debt service account. The city uses an Excel spreadsheet from the previous Collector-Treasurer to allocate the money to accounts such as the bond account, debt service, street fund, and general fund.
