Keep Iowa Beautiful is organizing a Pick-Up Iowa initiative, aiming to engage 2,500 volunteers in cleaning up litter across the state from April 1 to June 30, 2025. The campaign, part of Keep America Beautiful’s “Greatest American Cleanup,” focuses on cleaning roadsides, neighborhoods, and public spaces. Since 2020, over 260 clean-up events have been held, involving an average of 2,000 volunteers annually. Residents, service clubs, community groups, schools, and other organizations are encouraged to participate by hosting clean-up events and can register on Keep Iowa Beautiful’s website for resources and support.
