Northwest Missouri State University is establishing a Center for Rural Health to tackle the healthcare shortage in rural Missouri. The center will focus on training healthcare professionals and enhancing health in underserved communities through academic innovation. The Cicero Institute reports that 111 out of Missouri’s 114 counties face a shortage of health professionals.
