The St. Joseph Health Department is teaming up with the St. Joseph School District to provide middle and high school students with required vaccinations before the next school year. City health nurses will administer vaccines at schools, targeting seventh graders and high school juniors. Approximately 600 students in need of vaccinations have been identified, and consent forms have been sent home. The initiative aims to reduce the back-to-school rush for vaccinations and ease the burden on families and healthcare providers. Different vaccines are offered for middle and high school students, with clinics already scheduled at schools.
