Increased police presence will be at Savannah High School on Monday following a reported potential threat. The Savannah R-III School District stated that the increased patrols are a precautionary measure after an investigation found the information to be not credible. School administrators and the school resource officer promptly contacted local law enforcement upon learning of the rumored threat. The Andrew County Sheriff’s Office and Savannah Police Department are collaborating with school administration to address and investigate the situation, emphasizing the safety of students, staff, and the community as their top priority.
