A Grundy County court case involving 58-year-old Tommy James Fry, who is facing a first-degree arson charge for a fire in downtown Trenton last July, has been moved to Linn County on a change of venue. Fry is accused of intentionally starting a fire that damaged three commercial structures on Main Street. He was arrested in Florida and extradited to the Grundy County Detention Center, where he remains in custody. The change of venue has resulted in Fry’s May 14th court case being removed from the docket.
