St. Joseph’s JROTC cadets from three high schools came together to lead the Apple Blossom Parade Saturday as the city transitions to two high schools. The cadets aimed to showcase unity by marching together for the first time, emphasizing their intentional efforts to strengthen cooperation among schools. Despite maintaining their individual school identities, the cadets wore the same uniform to symbolize unity. This display of togetherness during the parade marked a significant moment for the cadets, who felt a stronger sense of unity after years of marching separately. The St. Joseph JROTC, active since 1919, celebrated the increased collaboration among cadets from Central, Lafayette, and Benton High schools.
